Jekyll Weeder - Sample Wholesale
This Jekyll Weeder honors the ingenuity of the well known English gardener (a blacksmith herself) Gertrude Jekyll, who invented this tool in her home smithy. We make this tool from two 3/8" square rods, hammered down to points at one end and forge welded into a single shank. It is designed to give a little extra leverage and depth when digging up roots, but we advise caution in hard or rocky ground to avoid the risk of bending the tines out of shape. The width from side to side of the tines varies between 1.25 and 2 inches. Its approximate length is 12 inches from point to end of handle. A unique gardening tool known better in England than here in the US, this is a new and interesting tool to many gardeners in America.
