Shipping & Returns

Shipping costs can vary, especially for long distances and rural areas, but we do our best to keep things simple and affordable. Flat rate shipping is one option we offer to many customers. To qualify for flat rate shipping, your address must receive deliveries by both USPS and UPS, so we can choose the less expensive option. Choose another shipping option if you are limited to receiving shipments via only one or the other (for example, UPS does not ship to PO boxes so your order may not qualify for Flat Rate Shipping if you enter a PO box for your shipping address).

Flat Rate Shipping (U.S. Lower 48)

We offer flat rate shipping on most small hand tools:

$8.99 or $11.99 flat rate
Applies to most locations within the contiguous U.S.
Must be deliverable via both UPS and USPS if selecting flat rate shipping (PO boxes may not qualify for flat rate shipping, please contact us for guidance)
Order 1 tool or several—shipping cost stays the same

Alaska, Hawaii & Outside the Lower 48

Flat rate shipping is not available
Orders ship at actual carrier rates
If you’re ordering small tools, feel free to contact us—we may be able to find a lower-cost option

Larger & Long-Handled Tools

May require additional shipping fees
Often ship as oversized packages
Must be deliverable via both UPS and USPS if selecting flat rate shipping

If you prefer to are are able to only receive packages from one carrier, please select that carrier at checkout.

Shipping Address Notes

If you use different addresses for UPS and USPS, enter your preferred address at checkout
Add any alternate delivery instructions in the order notes

How We Ship

We always use the most reliable and cost-effective shipping method available. Final shipping costs are shown at checkout before you complete your order.

Additional Notes

Oversized packages may include carrier surcharges
Carriers calculate shipping based on size and weight, which can increase costs for certain tools

Returns & Exchanges

We want you to be completely satisfied with your tools. If something isn’t right, we’re happy to help with a return or exchange.

In-Store (Local Customers)

If you’re local, simply contact us to schedule a visit to our workshop. We’ll take care of your return or exchange in person.

Returns (Shipped Orders)

If your order was shipped, please contact us before sending anything back so we can walk you through the process and confirm your refund.

Items must be unused and in new condition
You’ll receive a refund or store credit for the tool price
Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility
Original shipping costs are non-refundable

Shipping & Refunds

For shipped orders, your refund will be based on the actual shipping cost we paid, not just the flat rate charged at checkout.

In some cases, our actual shipping cost may be higher than what you paid—especially for long-handled tools shipped long distances. That difference will be deducted from your refund.

Example:

Tool price: $125
Flat rate shipping paid: $11.99
Total paid: $136.99
Actual shipping cost: $28.79

Refund: $108.20 (total paid minus actual shipping cost)

Exchanges

For exchanges, you’ll receive full credit for the tool price, but:

You’ll pay return shipping
You’ll also cover shipping for the new item

When We Cover Shipping

If there was an error on our end (wrong item sent or a manufacturing issue), we’ll cover:

Return shipping
Shipping for the replacement item

We know shipping can be expensive, especially for larger tools, and we do our best to keep costs as fair as possible.
