Flat Trowel - Sample Wholesale
This flat trowel is throwback tool, the model from which all other trowels evolved. Based on the Mason's trowel, flat trowels today are used for bulb planting, smoothing surfaces, light digging, and dividing. This one has an extra long shank, to add reach and provide a little extra help with dividing. Be careful not to use it for leverage to dig up roots or in hard ground, or risk bending the shank. The width from side to side at the back end of the trowel is approximately 3 1/2 inches, and from tip to back edge of the blade is 4 and 1/2 inches. The tool with handle is approximately 16 inches from point to end of handle. A unique, speciality tool, this flat trowel is something new to many gardeners.
