Custom Tactical Camp Shovel

This tactical camp shovel is designed based on a special forces shovel, with 3 sides sharpened. For packing in and out, and doing all the hard work from digging in to light work as an ax, this tool is designed for work in the bush and while traveling in the backcountry At around 21" in length, it has a roughly 6" wide and 6-7" tall single piece, strapped head with small treads. Made from high carbon saw steel, it is meant to stay sharp and work well under many circumstances. Instead of rivets to hold the front strap and back strap to the piece, we use roughly 1/2" screws to simplify rehandling should there be a need in the woods without special tools. Unlike out traditional strapped tools, this shovel has 2 separate pieces that work like a clamp with the screws to affix the wooden handle. This means that the shovel head can be affixed to a wider variety and shape of potential handles, if the need arises, and lets us keep the handle thicker and stronger than it would be if tapered to a chuck.
