Circular Hoe

One of the challenges of weeding near young plants is to avoid undercutting or slicing through their early roots when the plants are still vulnerable. We make a few different types of tender plant hoes for working near young plants. These hoes provide extra control and visibility when you are weeding. The circle hoe is not our own invention. We have adapted a tool that was available out here in the Northwest to gardeners for many years, but it has now been several years since they were made. Our version of the tool is more oblong than circular, and has an approximate width of 2 inches, and total reach of 11-13 inches. The tool is also available on 18" handles and on long handles for working while standing. The long handle version has a head that is approximately 2 1/2 inches wide and a 10 inch or so reach beyond the end of the handle.
