This Jekyll Weeder honors the ingenuity of the well known English gardener (a blacksmith herself) Gertrude Jekyll, who invented this tool in her home smithy. We make this tool from two 3/8" square rods, hammered The Arrow Weeder is an aggressive scuffle hoe and weeder that pays reference to the British broad arrow or government mark. This weeder slices rather than pries. It will cut on the push and on the pull, with all four sides sharpened. We make this tool from an 8" long 3/8" square rod for the shank welded to a flat blade. The width from side to side is approximately 4 inches and its total approximate length is 13-14 inches from tip to end of handle.
