3-Tine Cultivator, V-Pattern Long

Our mid-size 'V'- pattern cultivator is intended for aggressively ripping open and stirring soil in preparation for planting. The head is forged from 1/2" diameter low-carbon steel for maximum toughness. Aligning the tines in a 'V" enables the head to plough more easily through the soil than it would with all the tines in a row. ( What pushes through water easier, a speedboat or a barge?) The tip of each tine is hammered into a lozenge-shaped tooth. This shape enables easier penetration and maximizes soil disturbance. The tines are set 2" apart so the tool cultivates a 4" swath. While not as useful for blending in amendments as a standard scarifier, this tool is unsurpassed at loosening compacted soil to a depth of 3-5" per pass.
