Originally for planting seeds and transplanting small starts, this tool also shines as a houseplant, potted plant, and window box tool. Hold it between your thumb and first finger for light digging and prying, scratching in micro-furrows for planting seeds, and lifting out small weeds. We haven't tracked down the original design or maker. We came across it when one of our customers found a rusty old trowel head in their field in California. They asked Bob to duplicate it for them back in the early 1990s. Last year, they sent that trowel back in and asked Seth to make a couple more more them - a his and hers set, each with a slightly different angle in the shank. Seth really loved the blade profile and size and has decided it fills a small gap in our trowel offers for a smaller, planting trowel. With a minimal cup in the blade, a low handle angle, and a smaller overall profile it fits the bill perfectly for planting, weeding, and work in planters or containers.
